Why is my screen name like boniface12345? Can I change it?

You bet! We wanted to make the online leaderboard as low-maintenance as possible. So, the first time you launch Snowferno, it receives a random screen name from our server. This lets Snowferno start posting your scores immediately with no hassle. It’s also how we backup your level map progress for that device — if you ever need to reinstall Snowferno, the levels you’ve already beat will be unlocked automatically on your next launch.

To change your screen name:

1. From the Snowferno home screen, tap Settings > Score Board.
2. Tap Edit Leaderboard Settings. This exits Snowferno and launches a special webpage in Mobile Safari.
3. Follow the directions on-screen to create your account on snowferno.com.
   All of your scores and settings will be moved to your new screen name. Your new leaderboard page can be found at http://sfdev.snowferno.com/leaderboard/your_new_screenname_here/.
4. When your account signup is complete, press your device’s Home button to exit Safari.
5. Fire up Snowferno and enjoy!

Can I not post my scores online?

Yup. Our online leaderboard has an opt-in/opt-out toggle in the Settings.

1. From the Snowferno home screen, tap Settings > Score Board.
2. Tap the Post Score setting to toggle from from “YES!” to “no”.
